Genital warts also known as Condyloma, Condylomata acuminata, or venereal warts, anal wart or anogenital wart. Genital warts are highly contagious sexually transmitted infection caused by some sub-types of human papillomavirus (HPV). It is spread through direct skin-to-skin during oral, genital, or anal sex with an infected partner. Genital warts are the most easily recognized sign of genital HPV infection.
These are often known as condylomata acumemata or venaral warts. Genital warts are found on penis, vulva, and urethra, and vagina, cervix, around and in the anus. It is common, although most people have no symptoms.
Genital warts may be small, flat, flesh-colored bumps or tiny, cauliflower-like bumps. In men, genital warts can grow on the penis, near the anus, or between the penis and the scrotum. In women, genital warts may grow on the vulva and perineal area, in the vagina and on the cervix. Genital warts vary in size and may even be so small that you can’t see them. They can lead to cancer of the cervix in women or cancer of the penis in men.
Cause of genital warts
It is a viral infection caused by HPV, human papilloma virus. Warts may take 6 weeks to 6 months to appear after becoming infected with HPV.
Human Papilloma Virus can appear anywhere in the genital region, from the vulva to the perennial are. Genital warts and those present on the hands and feet are generally of different virus types and therefore not thought to be transmissible from one site to another.

Symptoms of anogenital warts
